542. 341. Aug 1, 2024. #1. I've been a Big Mac Pro fan for a long time, but never got the Apple Pro Display XDR. I did get the Studio Display, which has been pretty good. Recently I picked up the new ASUS 32 inch 4K OLED 240Hz monitor. While it is a gaming monitor on the surface, it has USB-C display/charging and works perfectly with Macs.

But I still have to unplug and re-plug the monitor once Windows is running, for BootCamp to recognize it and give me the full 6K resolution. I notice that the "Apple Pro Display XDR USB Composite Device" driver is correctly installed in the USB bus controllers.

I've got the Pro XDR Display working at 6k60 10bit over Thunderbolt 3/4 with the Asus ProArt X670E motherboard (JHL8540 TB4 controller). To achieve this required other peripherals, in particular the CalDigit TS4 and Belkin Charge and Sync Cable.
