Feb 27, 2020 · The Historic re-issue ES-335s are generally consistent with the neck profiles of the originals. The neck on my '59 Historic (from the Nashville Custom shop in 2010), is a nice, round C-profile, similar to the acoustic Gibson acoustic necks in the same historical periods.

May 29, 2011 · Fake, for all the reasons listed by the other writers. The only split-parallelogram ES 335 headstocks were on the ES 335-12 back in the late 60s. Put a real ES 335 side-by-side, and the differences will be obvious. This sort of looks like a hybrid 335/345/355 fake. Not even close, but you have to know what you're looking at.

Jun 5, 2024 · My 1997 ES-335 Dot has an intermittent connection at the output jack. Without removing anything I tried bending the metal tab that contacts the tip of the 1/4 plug. That helped a little - but the loud buzz is still there if my guitar chord moves too much.

When I went to put the neck pickup tone control on 8 however it was perfect. It provides the sound you expect to hear from a Gibson 335. It has that warm tone and its beautiful.

Apr 1, 2024 · I just upgraded to a new ES-335 to go with my 2010 ES-339. The T-types in the 335 are definitely brighter than the 57's in the 339, at least to my ears. I'm still in the honeymoon phase with the 335 so it's too soon to say better or worse. Two things I find curious about them, 1. I didn't realize the size difference was so dramatic and 2.
