Oct 4, 2024 · Apple TV generation 4 will not play YouTube videos anymore. Can't access YouTube videos on my Apple TV anymore. No problem logging in to my YouTube account and watching the video overview, but when I start a video, there will be a black screen, with the spinning wheel. (See Attached Image) I have reset my Apple TV and updated.

Sep 30, 2024 · SOLUTION: Under the ATV video settings, change the format to 4k SDR. Then switch it back to Dolby Vision. Then under video settings, click “match content” and turn “match dynamic range” off. Now the YouTube app will work perfectly. Once Google squashes this bug in the YouTube app, we can turn that setting back on.

I had it set to 5 minutes, I then set it to 2 minutes and it auto resumed precisely 2 minutes after I pause it, the screen saver even shows up for a brief period after that.
