Matthew Thomas Fitzpatrick (born 1 September 1994) is an English professional golfer. After winning the 2013 U.S. Amateur, he later won his first professional tournament at the 2015 British Masters. In 2022 he won his first major championship at the U.S. Open. [2]

Fitzpatrick became the first player since Bob Jones to simultaneously hold low-amateur honors from The Open Championship (2013) and the U.S. Open Championship (2014). He was a member of the 2013 Great Britain and Ireland Walker Cup Team and the 2016, 2021 and 2023 European Ryder Cup Teams.
