Rufous (Nankeen) Night Heron (Nycticorax caledonicus)
Rufous (Nankeen) Night Herons are small, primarily nocturnal herons. They have a creamy-white and rufous-brown plumage. The upperparts (nape of the neck, mantle and wings) are rufous, the front (breast, belly) is creamy-white. The underwing pattern shows white coverts and light-rufous wing feathers. Rufous (Nankeen) Night Herons have a black cap.
