Model Products Corporation, usually known by its acronym, MPC, is an American brand and former manufacturing company of plastic scale model kits and pre-assembled promotional models of cars that were popular in the 1960s and 1970s.

Combining 1/20 scale with the promotional model connection, MPC created a kit of the new-for-1968 AMX two-seater. American Motors offered the kit through dealers and by mail. The promotional model business kept building momentum and that year brought the big prize: Chevrolet, wrested from AMT.

Mar 10, 2022 · In 2011, Tomy sold its plastic model interests to a company called Round Two LLC, which ended MPC as an active brand. This MPC-era Lionel building kit features the MPC-era Lionel logo. Some Lionel packaging even included the MPC logo as well.

Multiple Products Corp. was not the only company with MPC initials. One that has caused some confusion for collectors was the Model Products Corporation that was located in Mt. Clemens MI. Started in 1963 they made a range of plastic kit model cars.
