Nov 1, 2017 · I put a little arnica cream on the injection site after each shot and I have almost no bruising. I do bruise though if I hit a little blood vessel. The cream helps both with bruising and pain. I use boiron brand. Make sure not to massage the injection site, that’ll make bruising worse, just gently wipe it on. I hope you can find some relief!

DO NOT push the needle straight down into your flesh. You can inject it at a slight angle to avoid muscles and ensure it is in the fat just under the skin.

Dec 19, 2021 · Hi ladies! I’m only on my 2nd day of shots, and while the poke doesn’t hurt at all, it burns immediately once I push the liquid in, and burns for a while after. Is this normal!? I can totally handle the poke but gosshhh it burns in the area once the med is in. Any tips?

I can find an injection site with no bruise, but I'm finding pinching the skin up to be very painful because I can't find an un-bruised spot big enough to pinch up.
