The rivalry between Elon Musk and OpenAI has reached a new high after the company’s board unanimously rejected Musk’s bid, labeling it as an attempt to disrupt competition. OpenAI chairman Bret Taylor reinforced the organization’s stance,

"Special voting rights could keep power in the hands of its nonprofit arm in future and so address the Tesla chief's criticisms that Altman and OpenAI have moved away from their original mission of creating powerful AI for the benefit of humanity," the FT wrote.

According to xAI’s blog, Grok 3 leverages Test-Time Compute at Scale (TTCS), a specific implementation of test-time scaling, to power its reasoning. This machine learning strategy enables the A.I. model to dynamically adjust computational resources, ensuring higher accuracy for complex queries while maintaining speed for simpler tasks.

Bret Taylor, the chairman of OpenAI’s board, said the artificial intelligence company was “not for sale.” Mr. Musk is separately raising money for his A.I. start-up, xAI.
