According to NFL Network's Tom Pellissero, the Texans are re-acquiring their 2026 fifth-round pick and tight end Harrison Bryant from the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for wide receiver John Metchie III and a 2026 sixth-round pick. Surprisingly enough, that 2026 sixth-round pick was also acquired in the C.J. Gardner-Johnson trade.

The Eagles acquired John Metchie III in a trade with the Texans, but the 49ers were also trying to make a move for the former Alabama star.

According to multiple reports, the Texans are trading the fourth-year wideout to the Philadelphia Eagles. According to ESPN's D.J. Bien-Aime, the Texans will receive tight end Harrison Bryant while also swapping late-round picks with the defending Super Bowl champions.
