Newcastle United have reportedly given Benjamin Sesko a deadline to make a decision over his future amid the ongoing transfer race with Manchester United for the RB Leipzig star.

Manchester United are lining up their first offer for Benjamin Sesko after Newcastle started what RB Leipzig hope will become a “bidding war” for the striker. Newcastle have tabled an offer worth £69.8million including add-ons and United are said to be ready to match that bid after fresh talks with Leipzig over the weekend.

The Red Devils are believed to be involved in a two-horse race for Sesko, with Premier League rivals Newcastle United already making an official bid worth £69.8m. While the bid fell short of Leipzig's valuation of the player, the Magpies are reportedly locked in talks over the structure of a deal.
