Manchester City are closing in on the signing of defender Abdukodir Khusanov after reaching an agreement with RC Lens, sources have told ESPN.

Manchester City officials have finalised and concluded an agreement with Lens over the signing of 20-year-old centre-back, Abdukodir Khusanov.

Now, multiple reports, including one from journalist Fabrizio Romano, claim that Lens have accepted Man City's bid of €40m (£33.5m) plus add-ons for Khusanov. A full agreement between all parties has been reached and Lens are also said to have approved medical tests for the defender which will take place in the 'next days'.

That is according to the information of The Times’ Paul Hirst and Peter Rutzler, who report that Manchester City are now closing in on the signing of Abdukodir Khusanov from Ligue 1 side Lens for a transfer fee that could rise to £42 million.
