New information claims that the rumored Galaxy Z Flip FE could end up having the same processor as the Galaxy S24.

Samsung could be working on a budget flip phone, and a fresh leak hinted at the Galaxy Z Flip FE packing the Exynos 2400.

For example, the recently launched Samsung Galaxy S24 FE launched with a slightly slower processor and lower-resolution camera system than the standard Samsung Galaxy S24, at a price of $649 / £649 / AU$1,099 – a solid offer considering the $799 / £799 / AU$1,399 price tag of the latter model.

If you've been waiting for a cheaper model before trying a flip phone, it looks like Samsung could finally grant your wish in 2025.

For the unversed, Samsung’s Galaxy FE devices are known for offering toned-down specifications and features at a more affordable price compared to their flagship counterparts. The Z Flip FE would allow Samsung to compete in the budget-friendly clamshell foldable market.

Samsung is apparently aiming to release a more affordable Galaxy Z Flip FE next year. The company could announce the new variant alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 7, scheduled for 2025. Samsung hopes to bring the foldable phone experience to a more modest price point in response to industry competition.

As for why the rumored Z Flip FE would use an Exynos chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 may be prohibitively expensive to put into a lower-priced foldable device, or it may simply be easier for Samsung to keep up a supply of Exynos chips.
