Nebraska State Patrol invites public to funeral procession of state trooper killed on duty
The Nebraska State Patrol detailed how the public can participate in Thursday’s funeral procession of a trooper killed this month in the line of duty. Trooper Kyle McAcy was responding to a wreck along Interstate 80 between Ashland and Greenwood.

The funeral service began at 11 a.m., where friends, family and state officials remembered McAcy. The Nebraska State Patrol’s entire stream of the funeral can be found on the agency’s YouTube page. McAcy, 31, was killed on Feb. 17 when he was hit by a snowplow while responding to a crash on Interstate 80 near Ashland.
The 39-year-old man arrested for first-degree murder in a deadly shooting has died, the Nebraska State Patrol said.
