The Washington Commanders defeated the Atlanta Falcons 30-24 in overtime on 'Sunday Night Football' to seal a playoff berth.

Rookie quarterbacks Michael Penix Jr. and Jayden Daniels will face off on NBC’s “Sunday Night Football” with both teams fighting for a postseason berth. The Falcons need a win to stay atop the NFC South now that the Buccaneers have defeated the Panthers.

Washington’s fourth-ranked pass defense will present a stiff test for Penix, who passed for 202 yards and no TDs against the lowly Giants last week. Meanwhile, Daniels is coming off a stellar performance in a rousing three-point win over Philadelphia, passing for five TDs. He also ranks second among NFL QBs in rushing yards with 737.

Falcons coach Raheem Morris said he "probably could have" utilized his timeouts better in critical sequences of an overtime loss to the Commanders.
