CORTINA D’AMPEZZO, Italy (AP) — Sitting in the middle of the Cortina course following her second fall in four days at the resort where she once dominated, Lindsey Vonn slammed the snow angrily with her right pole.
Lindsey Vonn was the victim of a crash in Italy and suffered some bruises during downhill training for the World Cup on Thursday. Vonn, an accomplished skier and one of the sport’s most celebrated, took a spill just before the end of the practice but escaped serious injury.
Lindsey Vonn is just getting started on her comeback to ski racing at age 40 with her new titanium knee. She already has an endpoint in mind, though.
