The historical programs centered around the American Revolution will provide a boost for Bay State businesses, Massachusetts leaders say.

The initiative is being planned as part of America 250, a national initiative in which states are encouraged to host events for roughly two years leading up to the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

The project is designed to showcase and spotlight Massachusetts’ firsts and its ongoing leadership in technology, education and medicine.
