One suspect was fatally shot by Houston police during a standoff in the Heights neighborhood. No officers were injured. The situation and suspect's motives are under investigation.

Police said they spent hours trying to de-escalate the situation using negotiators, but after multiple threats toward officers, they opened fire.

Jermon Williams was shot and killed in May at an apartment complex on Redford Street. Police say one suspect has been arrested, and they're now looking for another.
