Firefly’s Blue Ghost Mission 1 is set to touch down on the Moon’s Mare Crisium on March 2, following a final lunar orbit maneuver. The mission, carrying 10 NASA instruments, has already made history by tracking GNSS signals in lunar orbit.

Blue Ghost, a spacecraft owned by Firefly Aerospace, has captured the latest photos from the Moon's orbit. The footage reveals close-ups of the vast craters on the side we cannot see from Earth. The spacecraft is scheduled to land on the Moon in a few days.

The lander, Blue Ghost, fired its engines for four minutes Thursday to propel the spacecraft into lunar orbit ahead of a planned March 2 landing.
