Christian County Public Schools announced Monday afternoon that classes would resume Tuesday on a two-hour delay; however, that plan was scrapped early Tuesday when district officials decided to keep schools closed.

While the district has been working to prepare school grounds, multiple factors are causing leaders to play it safe on a decision to call a snow day.

Several Colorado schools have delayed their opening on Tuesday after overnight snow along the Front Range, especially from Monument Hill to Pueblo.
