Two days after Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan was stabbed at his Mumbai home during a robbery bid, a 31-year-old suspect was on Saturday detained at the Durg railway station in Chhattisgarh, police officials said.

The RPF arrested a suspect at Chattisgarh's Durg railway station in connection with the case. The suspected, identified as 31-years-old Aakash Kailash Kannojia was travelling on the Jnaneshwari Express from Mumbai LTT to Kolkata Shalimar.

Saif Ali Khan was stabbed by the intruder multiple times during the incident early Thursday morning inside his 12th-floor apartment at the 'Satguru Sharan' building in the upscale Bandra West area of Mumbai.

The RPF arrested a suspect in Chhattisgarh. The suspect, who resembles the individual seen in CCTV footage, was traveling by train when apprehended.

The suspect was on board the Jnaneswari Express, which runs from Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) to Kolkata Shalimar (SHM), an official said.
