Markovic rose to stardom as the runner up on season 9 of “Australia’s Next Top Model” in 2015, losing by one point to Brittany Beattie. She was only a teenager at the time.

Lucy Markovic — a model who rose to fame on "Australia’s Next Top Model" — has died at the age of 27, her loved ones confirmed, after a battle with a rare brain condition.

In March, the model revealed she had been battling a brain AVM and needed surgery for of it. Markovich appeared on season nine of “Australia’s Next Top Model” in 2015 at the age of 17.
