Fritz has over 30 years of coaching experience, he formerly managed teams such as Tulane, Georgia Southern, Sam Houston, Central Missouri, and Blinn College.
Fritz recorded a 54-47 record with the Green Wave. Prior to Tulane, the 63-year-old served as the head coach at Central Missouri, Sam Houston and Georgia Southern.
Fritz has also been head coach at Central Missouri and Georgia Southern. In 27 seasons as a college head coach, he has won 208 games with five conference championships.
Fritz would leave Blinn after the 1996 season to go and become the head coach at Division II Central Missouri and he would remain there through the 2009 season.
Under Fritz, Central Missouri earned its first postseason berth in 32 years. He became the school's winningest coach with a 97-47 record before taking over the Bearkats' program in 2010.
