ICE has a week to bring a Tufts doctoral student to Vermont from Louisiana, a federal court judge ruled Thursday.

A federal judge ruled Thursday that a detained Tufts student must be returned to Vermont, according to a court order.

Federal authorities are fighting against a judge’s order to move a detained Tufts student back to Vermont. Rumeysa Ozturk was detained by immigration authorities last month in Massachusetts and brought to Vermont before being sent to Louisiana.
