According to reports, the 49ers and Kittle have agreed to a four-year deal worth $76.4 million, making him the highest-paid tight end in NFL history at $19.1 million per year. Kittle also gets $40 million guaranteed on his new contract.

The 49ers disappointingly finished last in the NFC West with a 6-11 record, but Kittle was one of the team's few bright spots. He put forth a strong season with 78 catches for 1,106 yards and eight touchdowns across 15 games on his way to earning his sixth career Pro Bowl selection and second-team All-Pro honors.
