After 11 successful seasons, The Walking Dead came to an end in 2022, having skyrocketed to fame as one of the best zombie dramas of its kind. But Netflix, known for its hits, has launched a new South Korean post-apocalyptic series with impressive numbers.

Season 2, premiering Jan. 30, follows Hendricks as he takes on a high-stakes espionage mission in South Korea, only to discover that the greatest threat may come from within the CIA itself, according to a synopsis. The new season also introduces Teo Yoo as newcomer Jang Kyun.

The second season of a ‘crazy’, action-packed thriller has finally dropped on Netflix, and viewers have already rushed to binge all episodes. The Recruit premiered in 2022 and followed To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before star Noah Centineo as lawyer Owen Hendricks, whose life is instantly flipped upside down when he starts working for the CIA.

Taking to X, formerly twitter to share their verdict, one fan penned: "Two childhood friends reconnect throughout several decades in this harrowingly realistic tale of true love. Past Lives is by fat the most heart-breaking film I've seen this year. It's incredibly raw, extremely well acted and shot. This film is art. Keep tissues nearby."

The series follows the inner workings of Hankuk National University Hospital, with several A-listers rounding out the ensemble.

Crime Scene Zero is an upcoming South Korean Netflix Original variety series and the de facto fifth season of the Crime Scene franchise. It was initially broadcast on the network jTBC for three seasons between 2014 and 2017. Seven years later, it was picked up by TVING for one more season.

Ju Ji-hoon, who was last seen playing a doctor in the 2013 Korean drama Medical Top Team, calls The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call “the most exhausting project of his 20-year career”.

If The Recruit were to be renewed for a third season, it is quite likely that the next episodes would drop in 2026. The comedy-drama incurred a delay to its second entry after the Screen Actors Guild and Writers Guild of America strikes of 2023 brought Hollywood to a standstill.
