The band played “Preciosa,” an anthem from Cruzado’s native Puerto Rico, in honor of her impending retirement. As a surprise, the band formed the word “Waded” on the field.

Cruzado’s transformative term began in 2010, three years after a murder, drug deals and academic indifference landed MSU in Sports Illustrated under the headline “Trouble In Paradise”.
This university’s strong position has been a result of a team effort, and that involves the community to the greatest extent.
