Telecommunication giant T-Mobile is being sued for allegedly failing to fix longstanding cybersecurity issues that led to a massive data breach involving the personal data of millions of Americans.

It looks like T-Mobile has found itself in legal troubles again as it is being sued once more for a data breach back in 2021.

The 2021 breach affected at least 2 million Washington state residents, and tens of millions more customers around the United States.

The Attorney General (AG) is suing Bellevue-based T-Mobile for “failing to adequately secure sensitive personal information of more than 2 million Washingtonians,” according to a news release.

According to Washington's Attorney General, T-Mobile knew its security practices were inadequate even before the 2021 security breach.
