Benson Boone’s set at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival was packed with surprise announcements and surprise guests.

Benson Boone brought out rock and roll royalty at his first Coachella set. On Friday, April 11, Boone, 22, surprised festival-goers in Indio, Calif. by teaming up with Brian May, just seven months after the legendary Queen guitarist, 77, had a "minor stroke" that left him temporarily unable to move his left arm.

The rest of the set was Boone’s talents on full display. He worked the crowd as he performed “Cry,” “Drunk in My Mind” and “Slow It Down,” backflipping off of the piano on the latter. He led the audience in a call-and-response for “Forever and a Day,” and gave a live debut of “Mystical Magical.”
