Qatar, one of the countries that brokered the Israel-Hamas ceasefire, expressed confidence in the implementation of the three-phase deal through a foreign ministry spokesperson. Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani called on both Israel and Hamas to fully adhere to the terms of the ceasefire agreement on Tuesday.

Netanyahu is under pressure from right-wing members of his coalition government to resume bombardment of the Gaza Strip until Hamas is destroyed. Several have said they received assurances from Netanyahu that after the first phase of the truce ends, Israeli troops and fighter jets will once again launch in and over Gaza.

Qatar’s prime minister on Wednesday announced a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, pausing the devastating 15-month war in Gaza and clearing the way for dozens of Israeli hostages to go home.
