Edman was acquired at last year’s trade deadline for his defensive versatility. After a dominant NLCS MVP performance in 2024 that led the Dodgers to a World Series title, he signed a five-year, $74 million contract extension this past offseason.

Tommy Edman will start against righties, with Kike’ Hernandez and Miguel Rojas splitting time against lefties until Muncy returns, but that is approximately six to eight weeks away.
