Greater Cincinnati is grappling with its largest two-day snowfall since 2008, with reports of 9 to over 11 inches of snow.

The 8.4 inches of snow recorded in Cincinnati breaks the previous record of 6.9 inches set in 1977, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington. A heavy mix of precipitation is expected Monday, with forecasters predicting an additional 2 to 4 inches of snow in portions of Southwest Ohio, Northern Kentucky and Southeast Indiana.

A deep freeze sets in this week as Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky remain blanketed in snow. Schools close for a second day, roads, other updates.
