The Tennessee Titans trimmed their roster down to 53 players per NFL rules on Aug. 26, the latest step toward the start of the regular season on Sept. 7.

Two former Detroit Lions draft picks were among the final players cut by the Tennessee Titans at the NFL roster deadline on Tuesday. With teams needing to get their rosters at 53 players or less, the Titans released cornerback Amani Oruwariye and running back Jermar Jefferson, who each started their NFL career in Detroit.
