More than 100 firefighters were at the scene on Nov. 4 searching for additional victims and working to suppress some hot spots where the crash occurred, according to Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg.

A large UPS cargo plane with three people aboard crashed and exploded Tuesday while taking off from an airport in Louisville, Kentucky, leaving at least three people dead and 11 injured.

Police described the site of the crash near Fern Valley and Grade Lane as an “active scene with fire and debris,” with multiple injuries reported.
