A 28-year-old man faces charges in connection to the stabbing death of a Mankato gas station employee early Tuesday morning.

MANKATO – Police called to a gas station on the city’s east side early Tuesday found an employee dying on the floor from multiple stab wounds. The worker who died was Dennis Vosika, 34, of Mankato, city spokesman Paul David said in a statement Tuesday afternoon.

The Mankato Department of Public Safety said officers responded to the incident at the Kwik Trip at 1549 Madison Avenue just after 3 a.m. on Tuesday. They arrived to find the employee unresponsive on the floor with a knife wound.
