The book is scheduled to come out in spring 2025 via Hamilcar Publications. Hagler still has family in the area, although his mother, Mae Lang, died in July 2023. Hagler died March 13, 2021, at 66.

The park is located at the corner of Petronelli Way and Marvelous Marvin Hagler Way. Just up the block is the building that used to house the Petronelli’s gym.

The statue honored Hagler was designed by a committee including Hagler’s mother, Ida Mae Lang, who died in 2023. It was funded through a $150,000 state grant secured by state Rep. Gerry Cassidy.
