Finney-Smith came to the Lakers in a Dec. 29 trade with the Brooklyn Nets. He has supplied them with a legitimate 3-and-D wing who can guard players at multiple positions and space the floor on offense. Since arriving, he's averaging 6.8 points and 3.2 rebounds in 23.7 minutes a game while shooting 40.9% from 3-point range.

Finney-Smith (perosnal) will not play Wednesday against the Heat, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports. Finney-Smith is expected to miss Wednesday's contest to welcome his new baby boy, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.
