Karen Read filed an appeal with the state’s highest court after a judge last month denied a motion to dismiss two of three charges as a second trial looms in January. Read, 44, of Mansfield, was charged with the murder of her Boston police officer boyfriend, John O’Keefe, 46. Her first trial ended in a mistrial due to a hung jury on July 1.
