WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — As the government shutdown continues, one of the ways it could affect Southern New Englanders is at the airport.
“As we take to the roads to enjoy the mild weather before it starts to cool down, it’s critical for drivers to stay alert — especially as motorcycles can be more difficult to see because of their size,” said Robert Sinclair of AAA Northeast. “We also urge motorcycle riders to obey all traffic laws to ensure a safe and enjoyable ride.”
UTICA, N.Y. -- A new study from AAA highlights the widespread issue of aggressive driving among motorists. The study reveals that 96% of drivers admit to aggressive behaviors such as speeding and tailgating. Running red lights and passing on the right are also common actions. Additionally, 11 percent of drivers admit to engaging in violent actions.
Northeast pump prices are falling for a second consecutive week as gasoline retailers continue the shift to selling cheaper-to-make winter blend fuel.
AAA research showed that while some aggressive driving behaviors have become more common, others have declined since 2016: Cutting off another vehicle on purpose increased from 12 percent to 20 percent. Honking to show annoyance or anger increased from 45 percent to 66 percent.
