Steve Garvey, Padres, 1984 NLCS Garvey claimed NLCS MVP honors in helping the Padres stun the baseball world by overcoming a 2-0 deficit in the best-of-five series.

Garvey was the NLCS MVP in 1978 with the Dodgers and 1984 with the Padres and the 1974 NL MVP. He also won four Gold Gloves at first base and played in an NL record 1,207 straight games at first base.
