More than 1,000 homes in Oregon were under some kind of evacuation because of the Flat fire, which was one of many wildfires burning in the West, amid hot weather.

The Lone Pine Fire in Larimer County is 75% contained and didn't grow overnight, the U.S. Forest Service said on Friday. The wildfire is estimated at 2.5 acres, according to the Forest Service. Evacuations orders were lifted Thursday.

DUBLIN — Crews on Friday afternoon were battling a brush fire at Camp Parks in Alameda County, according to fire officials. The blaze, dubbed the Parks Fire, was first reported at 3:23 p.m. at Dougherty and Fall Creek roads, according to Cal Fire. As of 4:13 p.m., the fire had burned 15 acres.

A new wildfire was reported today at 5:26 p.m. in Los Angeles County, California. The wildfire has been burning on private land. Currently, there is no information on the containment of the fire and the cause of it has yet to be determined.

The Lee Fire has burned 137,755 acres, and is 76% contained. Rio Blanco County Road 5 has been reopened by fire officials as of 9 a.m. on August 23. Additionally, Lee fire officials have downgraded evacuation status zones 62 and 63, which are now being labeled as SET (yellow) status.
