First responders traveled to the site using snowmobiles and found two people inside the helicopter, authorities said. One was dead, and the other was taken to a hospital.

According the FAA, the deadly crash involved a Bell 505 helicopter and took place at the Ririe Reservoir in Rexburgh, northeast of Idaho Falls.

It happened Thursday around 4:40 p.m. First responders located the crash site and found two occupants inside. One occupant was deceased at the scene and the other was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The reservoir has been closed as well as the area around the crash site.

Another person in the helicopter was transported to the hospital, although their identity and condition has not been released.
