Rookie wide receiver Ricky Pearsall scored his first career touchdown on Sunday, giving the 49ers a 7-0 lead over the Buccaneers. The touchdown catch came 71 days after Pearsall was shot in a robbery attempt in San Francisco’s Union Square.

On second-and-5 from the San Francisco 46-yard line, Brock Purdy looked to Pearsall on a pass over the middle of the field. Pearsall caught the ball in a soft spot in the Tampa Bay zone near the 30-yard line, then outran three Bucs defenders on his way to the end zone.
