San Francisco's new mayor is working to remove a reform-minded police commissioner, after he refused to resign.

Kevin Catalina is Suffolk County’s new police commissioner, the 16th to serve in this role.

Suffolk lawmakers voted 17-0 to confirm him as the 16th police commissioner in the department's 65-year history.
