New York Yankees superstar Juan Soto was initially in the lineup but was scratched before Friday night's game against the Oakland Athletics. Soto gave the fanbase quite the scare Thursday against the Seattle Mariners when he crashed into the wall down the first base line to make a catch.

SEATTLE — Juan Soto was worried sick that his season might be over the afternoon after the Yankees clinched a playoff spot. His left knee was killing him after slid hard into the concrete base of a foul-territory wall in deep right field Thursday as he was making a tremendous catch.
