A man was shot by Houston police officers in north Houston Thursday night after pointing a weapon at them, authorities said. Officers responded to a call of an individual firing a weapon at 1700 Cavalcade around 7 p.

A police officer was shot in the Spring Branch area Tuesday morning, according to the Houston Police Department. The officer was rushed to Memorial Hermann Hospital. Houston police did not provide the officer's condition.
