Original 'Gremlins' screenwriter Chris Columbus is returning to direct the franchise's third movie, which will hit theaters in November 2027

Further proving that there is no ‘80s pop-culture franchise that Hollywood won’t metaphorically feed after midnight, it was recently announced that we’re getting a third Gremlins movie. According to Variety,

Columbus is on board to also direct the new sequel to the Warner Bros. 1984 classic, which the studio dated on Thursday for a 2027 release.
