Kacie Fuson, a meteorologist with the NWS in Indianapolis, said the Bloomington area already has gotten about 8.5 inches of snow, according to reports from weather spotters.

Bloomington's public works director said major roads have been cleared and crews are working on suburban areas now. But, roads will stay icy for days.

Roads south of Bloomington are beginning to be covered in snow, as seen on Indiana Department of Transportation snow plow cameras. Just after 9 a.m., a photograph from a snow plow on I-69 near Washington, Indiana, showed snow accumulating on the interstate. Another plow on I-69 near Crane showed snow is just beginning to accumulate.
