Arsenal are weighing up alternative attacking signings as their hopes fade of landing preferred target Benjamin Sesko this month, sources have told ESPN.

A move in the summer is much more likely, although Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has admitted that the club are searching for a new striker right now after injuries to Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus.

Arsenal believe that Sesko will be on his way this summer. Indeed, the Gunners internally believe that Sesko will be available in the summer, and he could be available for around €75m (£67m).

Mikel Arteta has made it clear he wants to bring in some new faces before the transfer deadline on February 3, with RB Leipzig star Sesko reportedly their top target. But cheaper moves for strikers such as Evan Ferguson or Matheus Cunha cannot be ruled out.
