An Amtrak train struck and killed a man Wednesday morning in south St. Louis. The incident occurred a little before 7:30 a.m. Wednesday morning on the 4900 block of Connecticut Street, just off of South Kingshighway Boulevard.

A person was struck and killed by an Amtrak train in south St. Louis; no passengers were injured. Investigation on how the incident occurred is underway.

The northbound Vermonter train was on the move later Monday, about three hours after the collision occurred in South Deerfield.

A train traveling from Washington, D.C. to St. Albans, Vt. struck a pedestrian at about 4:10 p.m. Monday at the Pleasant Street railroad crossing.

SOUTH DEERFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - An investigation continues after a man was hit and killed by an Amtrak train in South Deerfield on Monday. The Northwestern District Attorney’s Office has confirmed that a 60-year-old man from South Deerfield died after being struck by a train in the area of Pleasant Street.

An adult was transported to Baystate Franklin Medical Center with injuries described by Deerfield Police Chief John Paciorek as being “life-threatening at minimum” after being struck by a northbound Amtrak train.

SOUTH DEERFIELD — Amtrak canceled service north of Northampton on Monday after a person was struck by a train near Pleasant Street in South Deerfield. Amtrak train 56 was traveling northbound from Washington, D.C., to St. Albans at 4:10 p.m. when it hit a pedestrian who was trespassing on the track, said Amtrak spokesman Jason Abrams.
