A Lake Effect Snow Warning is in effect starting at 7 a.m. Friday through 7 p.m. Saturday for Summit, Portage and Cuyahoga counties. "Roads and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous," the weather service warns. "Travel could be difficult. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.

By Thursday morning we are in the 20s and a persistent cold flow over Lake Ontario will have likely given way to lake effect snow bands. Expect that everyone along Lake Ontario and inland can expect a few tenths of an inch of snow throughout the day with higher snowfall amounts where snow bands persist.
